From Pregnancy to Parenthood….
Moms matter
It has been estimated that 1 in 7 women will experience serious mood and anxiety disorders during the perinatal period (perinatalsupport.org) which ranges from pregnancy to early parenthood. With proper treatment and support, women can and do recover from mental health concerns and even enjoy parenting.
Many women and/or couples seek counseling to address concerns including struggling with infertility, pregnancy, traumatic childbirth, NICU experience, newborn phase difficulties, postpartum depression and anxiety, not to mention adjusting to parenthood. This looks different for every woman so logically treatment should be approached with her unique needs in mind.
I am here for YOU
Let’s be honest, sometimes it’s really hard to be someone’s parent AND be your own individual. I love supporting women in finding their own identity after becoming a parent as well as help managing work stress, personal health and wellbeing, and other relationships. As a mom of two school-aged kids, I am constantly amazed at the growth and challenges that come with each age and stage.
